The Rosengarten restaurant, widely known and beloved, presents itself in a new, successful symbiosis of classical architecture and modern design. This transformation creates a contemporary ambiance combined with an unforgettable atmosphere.
Nestled in a picturesque park, the Rosengarten, just a few steps from the Bear Park, the Rosengarten restaurant offers a unique view of the historic Old Town of Bern.
Upon entering the restaurant, all guests are greeted at a specially crafted reception piece of furniture, immediately immersing them in the newly designed atmosphere. The interior design skillfully preserves the unique character of the pavilion-like building while simultaneously integrating modern comfort.
The custom-made benches, made of high-quality solid wood and dark brown soft leather, harmoniously complement the iconic PP58 chairs by Hans J. Wegner and simple tables in adapted forms, all crafted from light oak, perfectly complementing this aesthetic. The buffet, also serving as the restaurant's bar, shines anew thanks to the high-quality new rear cladding in Carrara marble: timeless elegance seamlessly integrated into the classic ambiance of the building.
The central Chimney Cube, serving as a room divider, has been accentuated by a new dark green textured spatula color, drawing attention to itself. In the resulting rear part of the dining area, the walls are clad with fine vertical wooden slats, contributing to the pleasant atmosphere. They pick up the color tone of the fireplace in a lighter shade. Both parts of the restaurant, as well as the remaining traffic areas, are connected by a warm, dark oak parquet floor.
The outdoor area has been expanded to include a spacious outdoor bar with complete infrastructure. All visible fronts are clad in fine corrugated sheet metal, cleverly picking up the vertical design element of the wooden slats inside, creating a harmonious connection between the interior and exterior spaces.
